What is High Ropes Adventure
We're a ropes course company thats been around for over 15 years. Its a high wire forest adventure, like an obstacle course up high in the trees. We harness you up, and then you take a trip up to 40 feet high. We've got a zip line, towers, poles to climb, over 20 individual elements. Its a complete experience.
How much does it cost?
Basics are £15 for a course, and £20 for the over 14 years course. £10 for Archery (£5 with a ropes course). If you want something unique or a quote then give us a call, otherwise CLICK HERE for a full price breakdown.
What clothing should I wear?
We suggest you wear something you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Dress for the weather so bring something waterproof if its raiing. Please wear appropiate footwear with soles with good grips. Long hair should be tied back too.
How safe is it?
High Ropes Adventure has an exceptional safety record.
Can anyone take part, is their a weight limit?
Anyone from the age of 7 can use the course. Our harnesses have a maximum hip/waist size of 45" - 115cm.
Do I have to book?
What size groups do you take?
Ideal group sizes are between 4 and 16 people for the ropes course and between 4 and 8 for archery. We can cater for all group sizes but please contact us for specific details. If there are less than 8 people we may join you with another small group. However, if you don't want to be part of another group please let us know. We are happy to discuss your requirements by phone, email or on a site visit.
What time do I arrive?
We'll advise you when you book, but about 5 minutes before the booking time, just enough time to see the site, get to the loo and get ready for harnessing!
Are there any restrictions on taking photos?
Usually no, however from time to time when we have multiple groups on site there maybe occasions when photography is not permitted. We will let you know on the day when you arrive if this is the case.
How long does it all take?
Depends on what you're booked in for and group size, but between an hour and a half to three hours.
What if I can't complete the course?
Not to worry, it does happen from time to time and you can be rescued and brought down safely at any point on the course. We do encourage everyone to finish it as often when people are brought down they want to get straight back up again!
Can I just watch?
Yes of course you can, spectators are more than welcome.
Can I bring a picnic?
Yes, we have picnic benches too, after you've finished a course you can sit back and relax in the wood with your picnic.
What if I fall off?
You just dangle in the harness, thats what they're there for! Then you can either get yourself back up or we can help you, its quite easy!
What if its raining?
It doesn't stop. Its entirely up to you, if you see its going to be wet and decide you don't want to do it, as long as you give us some notice, we can reschedule. The only times we stop running courses is during very high winds and thunderstorms.
What is your cancellation policy?
Well, we're not some big corporate company, so be reasonable, thats all we say. In all the time we've been operating we've only had a handful of no-shows. its been a good philosophy and one that goes with the nature of what we do. If its a big booking, during the busy summer months, then give us a much notice as you can.
Do I need to be fit to do the courses?
We don't think so, if you break into a sweat walking up stairs, then you'll break into a sweat at the ropes course. Its reasonably energetic, your not on a travellator but then thats why you're here!
